Anushka’s Arundhathi finally gets ready

Anushka who was seen as a ravishing beauty in her latest release Chintakayala Ravi is all set to be seen as Arundhathi in coming January. This film will feature the gorgeous beauty in a dual role and will portray her in a sari and big round red Kumkum.

The director of this film is Kodi Rama Krishna, who ties a band to his head till his film releases. The movie is likely to be in the lines of Kodi’s previous hits Ammoru and will be based on high tech visuals in the second half.

The movie is being produced on Mallemala Entertainments banner and 95% of the shooting is complete. Some talkie part and post production work is awaited and the movie is all set to be released on January 9th, three days before Sankranthi.

For the first time Anushka will be seen in a plain jain role .Actor Deepak, Sonu Soodh, Sayaji Shinde, Manorama and Annapurna will play the other characters in this movie.

Amritha Rao sister Preetha Rao in Rakthaksha

Amritha Rao who is a familiar face in the bollywood film industry is introducing her younger sister Preetha Rao to the sandalwood audiences with the film titled Rakthaksha. The movie is said to have Actor Aditya as a hero.

Preetha Rao had a desire to become an actress and she expressed the same to her elder sister Amrita rao. Amrita made some research and groomed her sister for the south Indian film industry. She was the person who hooked in the Kannada film offer for her younger sister.

Preetha is a graduate in journalism and was writing some political columns for a new site. She was approached with the film offer by one of her aunt who is based in Kannada film industry.

Amritha gave a green signal to Preetha and so Preetha will be seen as a star soon on the silver screen.

Paiya fetches Tamannah this time

Paiya which is the next project of ace director Linguswamy has successfully roped in angel faced Tamannah into his next project. A few days ago, Nayantara denied the project for fetching less pay remuneration for this film by Linguswamy. It is also said that Initially, Trisha was approached for this movie, but has denied the role for not having much scope for acting.

In order to lure Trisha, Linguswamy is said to have offered a hefty pay package. But now a gossip is out that Linguswamy had offered Nayan only 52 lacs as remuneration and so the lady denied the project as her present pay package is in between 1.15 Cr-1.25 crores per each film.

Meanwhile, the director approached Tamannah and she agreed to do the film. Actor Karthi will act as a male lead in this film and the project will start early next year. Meanwhile, Tamannah is said to be the next queen of Kollywood as she is having her hands full of Tamil films titled “Ayan”, “Anandha Thandavan” and Padikattavan in Tamil along with “Paiya”

Kamal Hassan prefers Shriya to Trisha

Kamal Hassan who is busy with his next film project “Thalaivan Irrukindran” before his magnum opus Marmayogi has decided to prefer Shriya than Trisha. Kamal’s Marmayogi has been postponed for a month time and meanwhile his next film which will be on commercial basis is planned to be made in 4 months time. Thalaivan Irrukindran demands a lot of skin show from the female lead and so Actress Shriya has been given a chance to show her curves in this movie.

Nayan rejects captain Vijayakanth

the Kollywood craze has rejected a film offer Viruthagiri which had actor Vijayakanth as a hero. According to sources, Nayan has rejected the proposal to act on the account that Vijayakanth is a worn out hero and his films are not in demand now. Moreover, the director of Viruthagiri has also offered the role without the expected remuneration and so the Mallu beauty opted out. Actually Nayan demands around 1.25 crores for each film and reduces her remuneration for certain Malayalam movies. But the director of Viruthagiri only proposed to offer 60 lakhs to the ravishing beauty and so Nayan is has opted out of the movie.

But when the same news has been disqualified by Nayan and she is adding that she was never approached for the movie and this rumor has erupted by a media source. According to sources, there are two separate looks for her Londoner's character. The traditional South Indian look and the rock singer who takes off with her friends to jam and groove to beat.

It's bye-bye to Tamil and Telugu cinema. Now Asin has moved bag and baggae with her parents to pursue a full-time career in Hindi cinema. The family has been staying in a rented place in the suburbs for a year now.

But now Asin is ready to buy her own place in Bandra. "We're looking at some places. And we'll zero in on the place we want soon."

About her role in London Dreams Asin is totally tightlipped. "All I can say is, it's something I've never played before. In fact I think it's a role never seen in Indian cinema.

Beyond that I can't talk about it. But I'm very excited about both Ghajini and London Dreams. I've a long list of criteria for selecting a role beginning with the director, banner and co-star and ending with the cinematographer….

Newcomer Harman Baweja is lucky to have a girlfriend like Priyanka Chopra.

According to sources, "The film 'Victory' was facing some production hassles and now they are finding it difficult to find buyers, especially since the industry is also reeling under the impact of the recession in the market.

Although the film is backed by Adlabs; they are having trouble selling it. That Harman's last film was a non-starter is also a factor. Distributors who had earlier shown interest have now backed out and agree to come back in on the deal if they are offered heavy cuts in the price."

The source further adds, "Now one of the producers of the film, Manmohan Shetty, has urged the debutant director of the film, Ajit Pal, to put an item number in the film.

This may just improve the prospects of the film on the ticket windows. Harman has requested girl friend Priyanka to do the number and she has agreed." Well, that's what true lovers do. Support each other all the time. Bet Piggy Chops would agree.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson Reveals Nude Ambitions

Hollywood actress Emma Watson is willing to bare all in a movie but only if the role demands. The 'Harry Potter' actress, who stated that she would love to work with Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci, revealed her intention of being selective while picking her next flick.

When asked if she would strip for a role, she said: "Yes for him (Bernardo Bertolucci). It depends."

"I'm not getting my kit off any time soon, but it is part of my job," The Sun quoted Emma, as saying.

For now however, the young actress is finishing up her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, and is doing the voice of Princess Pea in the upcoming mouse cartoon “The Tale of Despereaux.”

“I’m going to have a battle on my hands, because after Harry Potter has finished, I don’t know,” she says. “I definitely want to go to university.”

It seems the star not only has beauty, but the brains to boot. She earned three A's this summer at her Oxford boarding school and is keen on the Ivy Leagues, the Times reports.

Asin replaces Gul Panag as Aamir's better half

Looks like the perfectionist Khan is taking his film Ghajini sky high. You heard! With the films first big full length promo hitting the television screens yesterday, the actor is going all out to promote his commercial action flick with his beautiful co-star Asin.

We confirmed the latest development with Asin where she revealed that she was signed by Tata Sky for an exclusive with Aamir Khan for their newest commercial. Gullible? Not really.

The South Indian seductress said, "Yes, you're right. I have signed a deal with Tata Sky for their next television commercial opposite Aamir Khan which goes on air on the 25th December. I haven't shot for the advert. It should be anytime soon".

Our sources have also confirmed that the advert will be shot keeping in mind the Ghajini theme and story. The question to be asked now is where does Gul fit in the picture? We sent an sms to Gul to figure out what's the story and got a reply back from her busy dubbing schedule.

She said, "I know nothing about it. I endorse Tata Sky Plus and have shot three films with Aamir, two of which have already been aired. My commitment with them is for one year. Anything beyond that, Tata Sky knows best".

One things sure though, Gul who plays Aamir's better half in the same commercial won't be too happy to see her onscreen hubby finding a new bride. It's Tata time for Gul come December 25.
