Trisha inspired by Chiru's social service

Generally, birthdays are celebrated amidst relatives, friends and well-wishers. But only a few people celebrate their birthdays by undertaking social service activities. One among them is Trisha. Trisha celebrated her birthday, with some cancer-afflicted children in Chennai. She is undertaking several social service activities, through Trisha Foundation, launched by her fans. She participated in the blood donation camp organized by her fans on the occasion. Over 200 fans of Trisha donated blood at the camp. Trisha says, 'My fans founded Trisha Foundation on the occasion of my birthday. I should encourage them and extend my cooperation to such activities.'

'We are issuing certificates to those who took part in the blood donation camp. My co-artiste Chiranjeevi has taken up several activities like blood donation and eye donation. I am inspired at his social service attitude and have decided to launch such projects on my own. We are also trying to provide free education to poor children through the foundation. The benefit would be extended to everyone without disparities like caste or religion. We are also planning to start orphanages and women's hostels for orphans. The foundation would help set up self-employment programmes for destitute women. The foundation would stand as a bridge between these destitute women and corporate firms. We launched the foundation in Chennai and would soon extend its services in Andhra also.'
